Dukats Journal of Hunting

After shooting PSE for the last 18 years I made a switch to the Diamond Line by Bowtech. I just got a new Diamond Liberty, 70#, 28 inch draw, using Easton FMJ's and 115gr. Muzzy's.

What is everyone else using?

I'm still using an old Matthews Z-Light from the mid 90's with ACC arrows and muzzy 100 gr. broadheads. Would love to upgrade to a new Matthews, but the old one still shoots pretty straight. Maybe next year.

Great looking set up. Love those parallel limbs.

How about for clothes? I think the Max 4 and mothwing camo is hard to beat. Got scentlok and am trying to round up some sitka when it's on sale.

I use a Hoyt X-Tec 1000 that is about five years old with Gold Tip Pro Hunters in camo and Muzzy 100 broadheads. I have shot PSE and Matthews bows, but like the balance and stability of the Hoyt. The Gold Tips are great arrows, but I cry every time I shoot one off a rock in the desert. I use a Trophy Taker rest, a Trophy Ridge 5 pin sight and a 4" Hoyt stabilizer. The only change I am contemplating is possibly transitioning to a sight with three pins.

I drew a whitetail rifle tag in 32, so the bow is probably on hiatus until spring javelina season. Half of the jobsite seems to be missing from work today with the open archery seasons.
