I'm curious myself but I would have to say Mule Deer.

Actually though, I don't have any real experience to _base_ that on as I've only hunted Mule Deer.

From what I have heard, wherever Whiletails are, there are a lot of them. I have cousins in Texas who are allowed to kill 5 a year and they just shoot them in their backyard.

Anyway, I'd like to hear more.

Are we talking Coues Whitetail....cause if we are its a no brainer. The Coues deer is the hardest deer in the world to harvest with a bow. Cannot get close, cannot find them when they are there (just seem to blend into the desert) and when you do get close the deer always seem to find a way to disappear. Love to hunt them though.........addicted I am.

Wow. Great Coues! I have to agree they are some of the toughest in the U.S. The lions keep them pretty wired. When you head south of the border, I think the big muleys are tougher with a rifle, although I've never tried archery down south - they give you about two seconds to shoot.
